wondering if anyone knows anything about the fg factory alarm? im guessing it doesnt get a 5 out of 5, but how good is it? it connects to my central locking, has a siren and is ford genuine so has ease of play for me to wire it in. i can get one for $200. would i be better off going after market? im not looking to go fort knox, or electrocute passers by, but considering my car has a few goodies it is a target and extra security cant hurt. im insured to the eyeballs on it, so if the determined thief gets it then no major issue, im more trying to discourage some 14 year old from trying to grab an amp or making it hard for a potential joyrider. also my insurance may be reduced by having an approved alarm. suggestions or comments? how hard are the stock alarms to beat?

really? id be switching insurers. my ba had an alarm that was on the rac approved list and i got a small reduction. i would of got more if it had some form of tracking or locator to find the car in event of theft.
