I've picked up a genuine electric aerial out of an EF Fairmont to fit to my GLi. And I am trying to figure out how to wire it up, I've read the tech doc for this but I'd like to use the trigger wire from the Stereo as well as the genuine aerial switch. My grasp of electronics isn't anything spectacular but if someone can advise how to do it I'm fairly competent. What can I use to reverse polarity to the aerial motor for the Up/Down function? As this was controlled by the BEM in the Fairmonts. And how should I incorporate the trigger wire and switch? From what I can gather, the switch is a simple On/Off that interrupts power to the aerial motor but I have no idea about the trigger wire off the stereo.
Thanks in advance,
