I have an EL wagon. Previous owner lost the keypad so is paying for a new one. Genuine Ford is $112, but I can get a new one for $30. My question is... are they easy to reprogram? Also, how do you reprogram them.

If someone knows, they can still help you out on this thread.

I remember my mate saying once that you push and hold in the central locking button on the dash and hold the lock button on the remote pad and hold it for 30 seconds or something.....

Not sure if this is correct???

Nah that's not it. There's a procedure in the docs... can't be bothered copying/pasting it in here lol

ok then here goes for you who dont want to search
this is for EF-BA models

Turn the key to the ACC position (first click)
straight away press the REAR DEMISTER button 3 times
after a few seconds your door locks will cycle
press the DOOR LOCK button on your remote pad
the locks will cycle again
turn the key off and remove from ignition
locks will cycle again
all done

*for EB-ED use BOOT RELEASE instead of rear demister
*if adding a new pad you must also train your old one as any new programming will cancel out existing remotes

Hope this helps someone

Would have to check with the manufactors specifications. Secondly, Ford uses its own immobilization brand. Thirdly, try Ebay for the keypad.
