Hey everyone,
I have just purchased a 2006 sony HU
and have read some wiring diagrams from other users on this forum (http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... l+headunit) installing their HU.
I am trying to get my hands on a wiring harness bu came accross something,
where do i put the REM cable from the amp?
Where is the best place to put the fuse for the power cable?
ohh and i had to redrill the original bracket, now the HU sits way back in the dash, so i was thinking of making like a slide down cover to cover it up, any one have any design ideas for this?

thanks,
Scott

This REMOTE cable runs from your amp to the wiring loom off your deck. Usally to the Blue/white wire on the Sonys i think (Pioneer is the solid blue)

The best place for the fuse is under engine bay usally.
I find up along side the inner wheel arch cable tied nice and tight.

sounds good with the fuse!

The harness that super cheap described to me was ont that connects both clips in the EF falcon into one that plugs straight into the HU?
will that mean i cant put the REM cable their then?

Well the wiring harness i got for mine, and every other one ive done (Like 5 in total)..is u get the correct wiring harness for your car, then snip off the other end connectors and then solder and heatshrink your deck harness to the cut end.. if that makes sence..

yeh you can buy the EF Falcon plugs to bare wires harness..or you can get the supercheap, Autobarn EF Falcon plugs to a (certain deck). Then can just cut the (certain deck) end off and there u go.. EF Falcon plugs to bare wires then u can just join the wire and dont forget to put an end on the remote at the deck end so u can add that into the harness aswell.
