never seen anything like this before. would need a good set of bolt cutters to steal that car.

I'm tipping being a commodore owner he has the base plate screwed into the plastic surround what a detterent.:roll:
Theives can bypass all these flash alarms and immobilisers and what not that would certainly have them stumped.

yer pretty basic

the idea is for it to act as a deterrent rather than a anti theft device

ie a theif sees the car and the sees the lock and may move onto the next car as it too much extra work

in my old VK i picked this up off ebay.. we tried for hours to get around it... once the hand brake is pulled right up you push the gear selector forward then lock it and you cant move anything. it was the best one i have seen

Yeah its just as easy to slam it down to drive, (not that id know 8-) )and also not that id EVER do that.

But slamming to drive works, not a deterrant unless you a 16yro who just wants a joyride.

The VL owners must of realised that all you really need to unlock their cars is a 5 cent coin, or a flathead screwdriver.
