i have this weird ticking sound coming from speakers i think.
its a fast ticking like small realay clicking in and out.

my power and rca are seperate till teh boot, but my speaker wire for left side runs next to power cable any ideas.

head unit is alpine 9847
amps is earthquake 400w model
speakers are earthquake fsr 6.5's

when i turned car off itstill made ticking sound for 5 sec after h/u was off and there was bit of a delay afetr turing it on as well.even at volume 0 it still made sound.

This sound is definitely coming through the speakers?
If so try disconnecting the rca cable at the amp and see if it is still there and see if there is a difference.
Where is the amp mounted?
See how you go with these and post your findings?
Cheers, Outlawxr6

it was a loose connection with teh speaker wire connection. teh lug did not quite grip on.

ist all good now thanx.

sub is in and going but still not enough base grrrr

on a tone cd at 70hz i have to turn it up to arround 4 or 5 on teh volume control till i hear any thing.
i might have to look through my alpine head unit manual.
the lighst were starting to dim with teh bass during the music didn't wnat to turn it up louder as the EQ amp does not liek voltage below 10v. but it was at like 120db but still not loud enough grrr
