Can anyone tell me how to fix the LCD screen in my EL Ghia DD CD head unit?
The head unit works but there is no ilumination.
Is it just a globe and if so how do you replace it?

are the bulbs blown in both lcds? they are soldered in so u will need a soldering iron to change them.

are the bulbs blown in both lcds? they are soldered in so u will need a soldering iron to change them.

I don't think they have bulbs.
does anyone know how they are back lit?

You will find that they do have mini globes and will need a soldering iron as already said.

yep, theres 2 bulbs, but the front of the unit has to come off. then the thin metal frame that goes around the lcd. it has tabs which are soldered on to the board. the bulbs are hidden inside the frame.
