Hi guys I am trying to get the tape deck out of my EF..to put a new HU in...but I have come across these bloody screws..can someone tell me how to get them out please...I was thinking about drilling them out...is that a good Idea ?

Get a set like this. It is called a security torx bit. It is easier then drilling them out. Not sure what size it is though.

Security torx. Just go buy the right bit.
Dont get normal torx, wont have hole for the pin.

Thanks a lot guys..the problem is I dont have to cash at the moment to go and buy the bit for the screws...thanks anyway guys

you can get cheap sets from supercheap or bunnings, places like them. or if you can figure out the size then you can just buy that bit. some outdoor and camping store even have security torx bit on the cheap.

They don't cost that much. I bought mine from Supercheap for like $10-15. It's cheap, but it has proven useful for both the head unit and seat bolts.

Ah I forgot the seats have them also...thanks guys looks like I am going shopping :D
