These are $128 at the moment at autobarn and strathfield, so i was gonna check them out tomorrow...4 way, 260w max, 50w nominal http://www.pioneer.com.au/products/car_ ... e/TSA1681S Thinking about getting them for front and back, then after saving up a bit more money getting a 4 channel amp for sub and fronts..

Are they any good? or are they this cheap for a reason...

I dont know much about speakers, am i better off going for some splits for the front?

thanks..

I have them in the parcel shelf mate. To my untrained ear, they sound pretty good to me, I got them on special also. Also the grill they have is quite attractive I think, and looks basically stock (ie. not silly).

But I think for the front, you should go a set with splits.

Get yourself a set of them for rear fill and do yourself a favour and pickup a set of jaycar splits for around $150RRP they are well known as the best splits for under $300 then you can buy my amp from me to suit them ;)

Just a quick tip with jaycar stuff they have bulk buy cheaper prices and I guarantee if you tell them your buying either a set of splits and coaxials from there or splits and an amp then you will get them at the cheaper price.

Thats the splits

there is an amp that will run the speakers fine for your use.
