Hey,

trying to decide between an alpine type r setup or precision response????

splits ar 75w rms each

sub from alpine is 500w rms
two subs from jaycar are 600w rms **same price**

the price for amps is the same....

so basically there is no cost difference for me **maybe 200-300**

just wondering which one people think performes better??

thanks

Can u get more detailed specs on the jaycar stuff....IMO iv never really liked there gear...If it was me Id go the ALPINE sub...there fantastc...powerful and the 10/12 even 15" woofer still pack a nice tight sound making them great SQL as well as SPL subs.

Yes im a fan of alpine :P

2x 300w RMS subs wont give u 600w RMS or are u saying the 300w RMS jaycar ones give a peak power reating of 600w like the Type R 12 will do a peak burst of 1500w if u can power it to do that.

Mate if you dont wanna fork for 2x Alpine 12"s then Id go the single Type-R 12"....just pick the best one to suit ya amp as they come in both dual 2 and 4 ohm coil versions.

i think he is saying that one jaycar sub puts out 300WRMS and if u have two it should technically give out 600WRMS.

Jaycar audio aren't that bad....alpine are good but i reckon its just a brand name ;). ur biased aren't u Big_Kev. hahahaha.

but yeah my next system is going to be with jaycar as well i want to see how they go compared to my pioneer stuff (old stuff) at the moment.

If you want to show people that u have alpine system go ahead. but if u dont care about brand names and want to get good quality for ur moneys worth id say jaycar

phong =P~
