A while back i bought a DF LTD premium sound system off someone and completely forgot the persons contact details.. Now i need the security code does anyone know a way of getting it.

Anyone here know any way of getting it?

Also, in my mates EF ghia the front left speaker cuts in and out its been diagnosed as a problem with the HU. Anyone had this problem with their premium sound?

normally from Ford, however to do that you need the vehicles VIN from which it came...

I am guessing you dont have that...

yeah no VIN number.. is there any way at all around this? He'd rather keep the premium sound then switch to the alpine h/u i have spare..

Without the VIN you are not going to crack it in a hurry. As far as I know its only the HU that is security coded. You can get another high series HU cheap enough.

not true, we (range ford) and at least 2 other dealerships i know of do it for free

That would be premium sound HU number 3 :P how are these codes worked out? seriously is there ANY way at all.

Nope couldnt find any decoder for our headunits online, found some for overseas fords though.
