G'day guys i have a EFII Falcon Gli and i am looking to install some speakers in my back door. Firstly is it possible to put a speaker there? If so then where do i run all the wiring to? What do i connect them to etc? Ive never done anything like this so all the help you can give me is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

i am also looking at doing the same thing.

there is not speaker hole there, so you have to cut a hole in door.

because you are adding another 2 speakers ontop of the already standard 4 speaker system, these additional speakers would need to run off an amp.

dont run them from the HU, you will blow it up.

ok, well a post i made here earlier seems to have been deleted so ill try again

My first question was why do you want to? but then i was thinking and it sorta makes sense so here goes...i havent done this myself but ive done a coupld of front doors

There are no holes for speakers in the rear, depending on the depth of yer speakers u may have to make up some pods or sumthing, wiring should be ok....there are provisions for power windows, find that spot and your wires should fit through nicely. As the earlier post said, run them off an amp....putting more on HU will damage it, it will create mismatched impedences and yeh, not pretty

Let us know how you get on with pics, it would be an interesting project

I'm looking at doing a similar thing in my AU.

My plan is, to amp my front splits, and my rear speakers in the parcel shelf. And then run another 2 pairs of speakers off the HU, two in the rear door and two in the boot. Not too sure, how to go about mounting them though.
