I am thinking of getting me one of these, and it would be very helpful if someone could provide me with the following information: -how difficult are they to install? -is remote starting simply pressing the button then getting in to drive, or does opening the door shut off the engine, although I cant see the point of this. -if, when disabling smartlock, you use two key barrels in paralell, does this cause the steering to always be unlocked? thanks ppl

- If you've done alarms before, it's not very different, a few extra wires to hook up.
- With mine, remote start, walk to car, press unlock button, get in, put key in turn to On (not Start) and apply brake. Mess up any of that, or trigger the alarm in anyway and the engine is killed. - Nope, steering lock works as normal.

I've got remote start working just great on my EL (with smartlock). And I've explained how many times before.
