Hey everyone. Some of you may know that I am going to do a new install in my car since I got an extra sub and also an amp.

Anyways I have 2 x 10" Pioneer TS-W254F free-air subs running in parallel to an Audiobahn A8000T monoblock. I also have an Audiobahn A4004T 4 channel amplifier to power my 2 rear 8", 3 way speakers and 2 front stock speakers. Front speakers will be replaced with splits some time but not sure as of when.

Back to the boot install. I am planning on putting the subs behind the seat. Angled slightly so they are facing towards each other and have the 4 channel amp in between the 2 subs angled so that it can be seen when the seats are opened. The mono block will be behind the 4 channel amp and be also angled but kind of perpendicular to that of the 4 channel amp. Therefore I have one amp facing into the cabin and one into the boot. the way the amps sit when looking from the side would be like a "T" that has been knocked over...or even better...like the Greek letter LAMBDA. Hopefully you will know what I'm getting at...if not I'll need to draw up a picture.

With the amps like that, there would be a small gap up the top of the board that holds the 4 channel amp and I was going to put 2 small computer fans up there (possibly with some LEDs to illuminate the area while I'm at it) to suck warm air out and maybe 2 more small fans on the bottom to blow air into the area. That way the amp can be kept cooler.

Now since they are free-air subs, it is crucial to keep the negative sound wave away from the positive sound wave. Just wondering if any of the sound waves could escape through the 4 fans causing some cancellations of the sound waves?

Thought I'd do a Paint job of the setup for easier understanding of what I am trying to do.

In the first picture is the side on view and is how I hope it might be when I build it. Blue area is the sub board. Grey areas indicate the amp and dark grey are the amp supports.


The blue square/circle area are where the fans could be placed. The trapezium like thingies encircling the words and on top of the amp are just a guide as to how the board is going to sit...so the sub back board is going to be angled inwards towards the boot and the sub leaning back.

Well I want to but I am unsure if the fans will stuff any of the sound up...such as sound wave deconstruction when the positive sound wave can travel through the fans cancel out with the negative sound wave. How big of a hole does it usually require for a significant sound change to happen?

Hahaha nice drawing haha. That was my other way of doing...but I want something more radical then having 2 amps on either side and subs in the centre

I like to be difficult and different. At least with Sound systems I can go through with it...unlike my BA into EL idea I had earlier
