i have an EL XR and installing 2x12's on mdf board behind the seat. im having trouble mounting the MDF as when the covers for the shock towers are removed a problem is revealed. there is no way i can fit 16mm MDF inbetween the shock tower and the back seat. just after some ideas on how to resolve this? can seats be moved with spacers? i know PYROAY had a similar setup with his single 15"..... how was it done

Last night, I checked out a single 12 installed in an EF, by autobarn Mackay.

It could easily be modified to suit two 12's.

The single box was built, and sub installed in the box. It's put in the right position. A panel is then cut out, in that oval/rectangle shape that is the hole thru to the boot when both seats are down. This panel is carpeted and has the 12" (slightly bigger) cut in it. It sits perfectly in that big space, sealing it off, and is bolted from behind to the chassis or panels somewhere. The box is then screwed to that panel with L plates.
It's all held in place by that bracing. Amps are on the back of this box, and a hinged panel has been built to fold up, covering all wiring and only revealing the amp's heat sink.

I hope this helps, and I will be doing the same thing very soon in my EF with two MTX 12's.
