when i brought my car it had the standard ford speakers in it (ef el) rattleing so i chucked em now i want to put some 6x9s in it will they just fit straight in or do i have to cut a bigger hole

You will need to cut a bigger hole in the parcel shelf.

dont cut the parcel shelf = defect.
use some 13mm spacers or mount them on the underside of the parcel shelf

im pritty sure the rear speakers in ef's are 6inch so yer if you dont want to cut a hole u can buy mounting blocks for 6x9s
