Has anyone out there got any suggestions or pics of how I can get some more speakers, and possibly a sub (small one 8") and an amp into an XH ute, WITHOUT cutting, or modifying the car in any real way.

upgrade the front speakers with some splits.... what you buy will depend on your taste and budget

for thin sub applications, bet option would be to do either what pyroay has done in his wife's car (pair of small-ish subs with the boxes under the seats, or if you're not too tall, you might try one of pioneer's new "thin" sub, but you're gonna need about 5-6" behind the seat for the sub and box....

cheapest way would be a couple of 8" subs in tubes behind the seats on the floor

Stick your amps under the compartment in the back and have a look under there see if you want to cut into the cab and run you sub from underneth the compartment pointing into the cab. At least that way you dont lose any room from behind your seats.

The compartment im talking about is the one that houses your fuel tank on 1 side but nothing on the other. It should go from where your rear window starts up to your wheel arches.......hope this makes sense ( i just got up).

Thanks guys, the only problem with the compartment in the tray where the fuel tank is is that it gets wet in the rain, seeing that its where all the water from the tray goes, and although mine never, or extremely rarely sees the tonneu off, i would be too worried about the gear getting wet. The idea about 8" sub in tube sounds good though, I have a good Lanzar 8" sub here, and the amp can go under the drivers seat. Budget is of no concern, what sort of splits would you suggest to fit in the original door holes. I dont want to cut anything in this car, seeing its a XHXR8 5 speed, with a factory optioned leather interior, and before anyone says it wasnt an option, the previous owner was a dealer principal of one very large Queensland Ford yard, and got it for himself.
Hence, you can see why I dont want to cut or modify the car too much.

for the splits, anything can be made to fit if you have the right money, otherwise, aim for a set of 4" splits, but dont expect miracles from them

I have replaced the factory 4 " with some Pioneer gear (including head unit) and have placed 6 x 9 " s under the driver and passenger seat.
The under seat location works though it not the best as the box that I have made to fit, makes the speaker magnet sit close to the floor and I suspect this may cause some "interference".
Additionally I have the seats back at full travel and hence unless I move them forward, I don get the best out the system. It is not really all that flash though it does it for whilst maintaining my budget.
