does anyone know how to clean these???
if you look closely at the pic you will see what i mean

i tried some bull bar cleaner (hydrochloric acid based i think) and it didnt so anything.

someone said to try oven cleaner, i'm yet to give that a go.

it appears the previous owner clear coated it with something.

also does anyone know where i can get a set of the center caps??? i would be willing to pay $$$$ or trade something for them, looks tacky without them.

They came from the factory with a clear coat on them so depending on how extreme you want to go with cleaning them, You may want to remove the clear coat.
I cleaned up mine using plain old mag wheel cleaner and they were worse than your one in the picture.....Take a look in my user gallery.

with wheels that old, id say the paint has had it.

Scrub with a scourer with running water, let dry then wipe over with wax and grease remover, then mask up and spray a couple coats of silver, then a couple coats of good quality clear

Will look new then, and also will be easier to clean in the future.

will try the proper mag cleaning stuff, if that doesnt work i'll rub the clear coat off and do it again.

Although the paint under the stuff that has turned green still appears to be quite good.

center caps anyone?

Cleaning centre caps is pretty straight forward.....Just wash them in warm water with detergent. You may need to rub them a bit but they should come up nicely.

if its clear coat a paint stripper or thinners to strip it off, sand and repaint or polish-then clear to seal it---do the back as well\brake dust sets and hard to wash off. centred ebay,here-forsale\wanted,trading post, tyre dealer-any that fits-fit ford badges.
