I would like to put a series 2 or 3 front on my AU (im sick of the egg crate grille)

Now the main question is are all White AU's the Same shade of white or is it like the EB's that had a plain white and a stark white or something like that.

plus i just want to put the bonnet and grille on and be done with it.

Thanks for any advice or help guys.

Late AU Series 1 changed from Dynamic White to Winter White.

Unless yours is Winter White, you are out of luck there.

However a Series 1 Fairmont Bonnet is the same, and they came in both Whites. All Fairmonts had the same bonnet, and Series 2 and 3 Forte/Futura used the Fairmont bonnet.

So you should be able to get the colour you need.

What Paint Code is on your Plate under the bonnet? H is Dynamic White, unsure what Winter White is.

I'll go have a look now at the paint code.

Sweet. So hunt down a Series 1 Fairmont Bonnet off a Dynamic White car, and you are set!

And then whatever Grille you want.

There is still a strong chance that it can happen.

Paint will fade differently on different cars, depending on the variety of how the body has been maintained, where the vehicles are kept and even the batch of paint can make a difference. for example, my EL was navy blue (N9). It was different to other cars that were the same paint code. replacement panels that were painted in N9 never matched.

In the end, I just had the whole car sprayed. My suggestion - for the sake of a couple of hundred, just get the f**k painted to match your car
