Well, after not touching it for 2 months I've finally finished, or as finished as it'll be untill the entire car gets resprayed.
Here's two photos of underneath, it's still drying after being sprayed with K&H Sound Deadener and then VHT High Temp paint as I wanted it flat black.

As you can see it's a little messy in the middle there as the resin ran a bit and made some puddles, but the important thing is it's not going anywhere! :-)
Once that's dried I'll get some photos of the stickers I got for the side of the bulge and the top.

f**k that, that's work, I taped it with masking tape. Even if there's over spray on it, doesn't matter, there both black.

More pics soon!

Sitting on the car, I tried, but it's too hard to put the bonnet back on by myself, will have to wait till tomorrow when there's someone to help me.

Managed to scratch it already.

And the stickers I had made up for the side of the bulge.

As said it won't be painted for a while till the whole car gets done, likewise with the front bar.

First I cut the skin of the bonnet to it's shape. Then sikaflexed the bulge to the support frame, and screwed the bulge to it. Then fliped it over, glassed as you said the bulge to the framing, then removed the screws and anything on top of the bonnet is purely cosmetic to help make it look more as one peice, instead of actually holding the bulge in place.
The bulge actually has to be flexed somewhat, as the EF bonnet has a much steeper downwards curve to it.
All up wasn't that bad to do. Knowing what I know now I would of been able to do it a bit better and quicker. But ya learn these things as you go.
I regret not getting a carbon fibre one, I really would have gotten a boner over having a carbon fibre bulge coming out of the white bonnet!

No, it's not an XR from the factory, but it's got all the XR bits and peices now. Diff, head, rocker cover, front end, interior, dash badge, exterior badges, etc. and mock up Tickford bodykit. But now it's got a blower too, so it's better than your smelly stocko XR's! :-)
