Your sentiments are undisputed....but chroming is not cheap for plastic as I understand it. At that price you'd think he was chroming a brand new Grille bought direct from Ford Spare Parts wouldn't you....

Further to my posts from ages ago, as a comparison, I've been quoted $150 to plastic chrome my BA wagon tailgate garnish. Obviously, as I said before, the BA XR grilles are one piece so they would cost more to chrome plate...might end up close to the egay price...cheers Linz.

Significant price drop.

Don't mind the chrome look grille, would really set the exterior of the car off. $110 or so is a reasonable ask.

Normal chrome grilles have been around for ages, not chrome XR grilles. Excluding that $300 item we posted earlier of course.
These must be cheap Chinese copies, rather than coated factory units. Lukeyson |

the chromed xr ones were on ebay for ages too. done by the guy that chromes all the other parts iirc. he does shifter surrounds, door grab handles, vents, mirror scalps and the like.

OK. I thought the $300 chrome XR grille we found earlier in this thread was from that guy you mentioned. If he was selling them for $110 as well I didn't see it.

I actually don't like the chrome cross-hatch.
I reckon it either needs to be similar to the fine mesh insert, or blacked out with chrome around the edges. Lukeyson |
