I was tempted to remove my mudflaps, but, I was then concerned about stones etc flicking up, chipping paint and stuff...

Yeah you have a good point there but it really comes down to where you drive. If you live in the bush keep them on but if you live in the suburbs they isnt many stones

Hahaha yeah that's my old man's Nissan 300ZX with s**t after-market Ferrari tail-lights. He currently has it off the road to re-build it from the ground up with some big plans, so that should be good.

Anyway, I live in Echuca which is in country Victoria so I do a bit of driving both on dirt tracks etc and on highways so I think I'll leave the mudflaps on for the moment. Plus I had a look today and there are wear marks in the paint where the mudflaps rub so I would have to work to get rid of that if I was to take them off.

I have a few other mods planned for her and I would like some opinions from you guys.

I priced genuine high-series NL Fairlane side moulds and clear repeaters at Ford today - $40 each side for the moulds un-painted and $38 each for the clear lenses. So all up genuine I'm looking at about $160, but I also have a wrecker doing a bit of searching for me but I know they are bloody hard to get second hand, but I'll see how I go.

I also enquired at Ford about fog-lights and they don't do them genuine anymore, so again I asked the wrecker and he's going to try to track some down for me.

Now, my wrecker mate also has a NF Fairlane chrome grill for the front in stock and I am in two minds about getting it. I can get it for about $70 but I don't have anything else chrome on my car, which makes me think it may stand out like dogs balls if I put it on.

Here is a picture of a similar grille - the difference between the one pictured and the one the wrecker has is this one has horizontal bars with the Ford badge at the top, where as the one at the wrecker has vertical bars with the Ford badge in the middle.

Opinions from everyone gratefully encouraged. Thanks.

Thanks so much for the replies fellas. The rims in the before photo are aftermarket ANZ wheels which are a similar shape to the EF/EL XR style. Instead of being silver, they are a light metalic gold colour with a kind of pearl through it.

I put them on my car when I first got it when I was 16, so they have been on there for two years now. I'm thinking of selling them in the near future so if anyone is interested, let me know (I'm not sure about prices etc but they have Bridgestone tyres on them that I only put on about 2 months ago).

Thanks everyone. :P

Here are some more pics. It's amazing how much of a difference the wheels have made to the overall look of the car. :P
