Hey does anyone know if this door will fit my AU Fairmont?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-AU-BA-Complete-Drivers-Side-Door-Falcon-XR6-XR8_W0QQitemZ150117215470QQihZ005QQcategoryZ32552QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

all i need is the shell as there is damage on mine, it looks so similar to my door but im a little worried as the strip along the bottom looks a little different, i think the AU ones curve at the end before they hit the wheel???

cant tell on mine, prick hit me in a car park when i was in the shops :/

The bump strip is different on BA-BF than AU, But the door should fit fine.

i was thinking the same thing as my door has recently been damaged. after asking many wreckers, most said that the door will fit fine, the side strip thing is diffrent but the interia will need some modifications put on... i rekon your better off finding a au one from wreckers, same colour as yor car to save the paint.

Interior mounting points are totally different ... I recently had a look at the AU and B-series one side by side ... I would have thought they'd keep the same frame/internals ... but they didn't.

Bit of a bummer, I was thinking about replacing the door trims on my AU with BA ones, just for looks of course. The guy I cant remember his name or find his post who installed a BA interior into an AU said the door trims were the easiest to install.

But yeah like you mentioned Mechan1k is a bit strange changing the points around, but keeping the doors practically the same from the outside.

well ive found a gold door that fits an AU falcon with electric windows... considering my car is gold its a bonus, but im pondering how hard its going to be to wire in MY electric windows, being a Fairmont it has front AND rear electrics, where as falcons only have front electrics. the only other thing that needs changing is the door trims as fairmonts have colour co-ordinated ones rather then black ones...
