yes and no to the legalitys, i have them if you look in my gallery, one pic looks like i have one on one side and none on the other, but its just due to lighting, i think they're AWESOME definatly makes your car stand out, especially if you have the washer ones as well
 they dont even cost that much, and are easy to install, look bloody AWESOME! with whether or not its legal, depends on the cop that sees them, as long as they arnt red, they usually dont have a problem, and as long as you treat the copper with respect, they wont care, just hope u dont catch them on a bad day!

People have been defected for having them on. I dunno if this means they are legal or not... i wouldnt put em on because i'd probably get reamed for other stuff on my car when PC Plod pulled me over...

thing is, you can barely see them when you have your headlights on anyways, just a small blue tinge, i only drive around with the blue parkers just as i rock up to a party, or im passing a club or something ya know?

Yes they are illegal in Victoria. I got d**k for it a while ago, $160. That was back in RICE days. Basically your not allowed to modify the colour of the lights on the front or back - you get fined for ' not being within roadworthy guidlines.'

they are definately illegal the only colour you can have is white and yellow blue red and green are apparentyl emergency colours plus its very ricey and doesnt look all that goo anyways |

I've got blue parkers, but you'll never ever ever catch me with only the park lights on as there park lights for when your parked (not for driving with), but no way I'm gunna leave my lights on when I'm parked.
So why do I have them? Because I've got the Philips Vision and Narve Artic Blue 4,000K globes that are the white colour. If you run blue parker globes with these (I've got Philips Vision parker globes with Narva Silicone blue sleeve - condom thingy - over it, the parker globes came free with the Philips headlight globes and the sleeves were left over from a mate who put them in the interior of his Corolla) then it puts this lightish blue streak through your headlight, not particuarly noticable without actually looking for it, but overall makes the lights look slightly more whitey/blueish. They've been like this for over a year now and no one has ever said a thing. |

still funny though! i used to want a lancer, but then i woke up to the light of the power of a Falcon i love my falcon very much, and just because i have heaps of neons, doesnt make her a ricer, it makes her different from all the rest and yeah, i read that only red was an emergency colour, i argued the point of blue being on ambulances and cop cars as well, but they said it was ok, so on the blue neons went

Eh, this is interesting. I've never really thought about the purpose of park lights until this:

There's really no reason to ever require lights when you're parked, unless you're in a dangerous location in which case you should have your hazard lights on. Granted, your park lights also light your rear lights also, but they do bugger all for making your vehicle visible from the front. That said, I usually use my park lights when highway driving during the day, because when visibility isn't an issue, it pisses me off to see other cars with their headlights on. Blue lights are for police vehicles and emergency vehicles operating under police instruction, red lights are for emergency medical and fire vehicles, green lights are for stationary fire vehicles (don't panic; I've never seen one, either), crimson lights are for RTA patrol vehicles, and amber lights are for traffic obstructions.

Hence why its illegal (in the ACT too, I've got the road rules / rego rules / and fines all printed out in the car for when mister rego inspector comes around).

Exactly.
Here's some bonus useless trivia. There're five colours of 'cats eyes' reflectors (or tyre shredders, as I prefer to call them) that they plant in the road. Red indicates the left hand side of the road. White indicates the right hand side of the road. Yellow indicates the centre divider. Blue indicates a fire hydrant or main is located nearby. Without cheating, what do the green ones mean?

Red and blue(and white strobes) , are for police fire and ambos, never seen green anywhere, the reason they paint the ambos that green colour, is that is the last colour spectrum the eye will see before unconsciousness, hence why some eye wash stations, etc , are painted that last colour. Blue cats eye will indicate a hydrant/stand pipe, directly to the left/right of that marker, it will be 300mmm to the side of the centre of the road, in WA anyway.

yeh they are illegal i used to have them on my car ill admit it did look good at night but i never used them and when i was going to the illegal drags i figured if i get pulled over for a random roadworthy check i wasnt gonna get diked for a pair of s**t blue parkers
