OK guys as we are all awre there is no way that one can remove the silver trim on the bodyside moulding of early E series Fairmont Ghia, but is there a pin-stripping type tape that is wide enough to cover the silver ??

Sticker shop can make you a roll of chrome/silver tape to do what you need.

Thanks for all the replies guys :D I now have some ideas on what to do.

I am curious about your reply "falconGT351" - what do you mean by properly. I would have thought it was just a matter of placing the material, whatever that maybe, over the top of the silver on the moulding and it would stick forever. :?:

I mean as long as the surface is smooth, clean and warm when you apply it it shouldnt peel over time, should stick forever like a good pinstripe or sticker would
