OH and another thing............. not as if building it up as aN EL GT is going to help.. it would have 0 km on the clock... but the EL GT"S are not nearly as desireable as the XR/XY GT"S of the 60's...

yeh i posted that up roughly about a month or so ago. when the auction ended it went for around 2k or thereabouts. maybe the sale fell through or the guy who bought it priced the rest of the parts up and got a rude shock :S :D

It's just a bare shell though, what's so desirable about that? Yeah it's got 0kms on it, but there isn't exactly much on it to wear anyway.

The only good aspects of it are the fact that it's never been bent, and that the roof and rear quarters are straight - there are plenty of EF/EL's around that fit that description though.

Unless your specifically looking to do a ground up drag car etc, then not really worth it at all in my opinion.

BTW I sold my last EL rolling shell, much the same as this for $50!

nah, this bloke selling it is the guy wqho won it last time. same item description and photo though.

i still reckon it would be cool to start a nice project car, but as said, can get a rolling shell thats straight for way less.

My point exactly - and you could get a clean one for that price if you look around too.

Unless you were thinking drag car etc, there really is no value whatsoever in that shell.

is there any where you would suggest looking for a very clean EL rolling shell?? or are wreckers the best place?
