AS you can see..( http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=43146 )... i had no luck sequring the white+chrome inserts for my front bumper.. so i had to improvise... heres how i did it...

1)went to pick n payless..
2)ripped the chrome moulds off the boxcar wheel arches...
3)$10 poorer later i had them in my possesion..
4)cut the edges to shape.. (scissors)
5)is rubber backed so straightened the moulds out and glued them on using "instant super glue"..

*i know its realy pov.. was just never going to find the original moulds..

*hope some one can use this idea.. or comes in handy..

you went to all that trouble, becuase you were to stingey to have a set of original moulds painted?? I saw a brand new set of NL front moulds on ebay a while ago, a panel shop would charge like $100 at the absoulte most to have them painted

But on a second note, that looks quite ok.

looks pretty neat to me.

So what are my chances of picking up some white NF or Ghia DOOR moulds from P'n'P would you say?

I've never been in the joint, I usually go to Pick and Pull @ Seven Hills for a quick one (visit that is!) and there aren't too many floating around there.

good if your paintwork is that dark green colour.. but a couple of months ago they would not seperate the trims from the doors... perhaps now they might?

BTW.. pick n payless isnt too bad.. but not a good place to look for ef/eL gear... most are ex taxi's... do have alot of box cars though.. ea-ed...

I doubt it if that's the way they've been doing it...

I might just stick to where I go. They are smaller but have a few ef/el's in VARIOUS colours! Wagons too, which is good for me.

Plus they've lent me tools when I've dropped in unplanned (nothing like doing the sneaky drop-in when you go out to get some milk for the family on a Sat. morning  )
