he's mad. the XR front craps all over the standard one. oh those damn forte headlights, yuck.

I've never heard of anyone not liking the XR front or liking the forte one instead.

That'd look so s**t, it wouldn't match the rear at all.

I could see that looking really good.

no, it'd look like a ba xr with a non matching rear.

well atleast u cant have my xr front, a 4wd hit it tonight with a bullbar took the whole left side of the car and the left tail light and fpv gt rear spoiler, also with putting a BA front on the AU u would have to take some of those side strips from the back doors of a BA and mod it onto the AU

I could see that looking really good. Its an expensive venture but its individual. The BA XR front end would look awesome.

VN front on a ED would look really good too! but you dont see anyone doing that now do ya!

Well, I'm another one who's not a fan of the AU XR front.

to change it to ba front end is more than just panels. there is a difference in the rad support panels height etc.

have a look on ford forums, there is an au xr ute on there that had an engine bay fire from someones dodgy wiring up of some lights. they used a ba front on that. they had to do some welding etc but it looks good. :)

all he needs to do is buy a new front bar, new head lights, and grille. then your all set.

it will just go straight on with no modification work.

i know b/c im a panel beater / assemblier and this is what i do.

In some terms I do.
The AU 2 and III front end is a slightly nicer design but an S1 XR is fukn nice alright

they have real presence on the road. Can spot one coming from miles away as they are far different from the other cars on the road.

They look like a forte with round headlights and a spoiler. AU1 XR's even have the same shape bumper at the bottom as forte's.
