Country cars are rust free cars.
Anyone seen that sticker floating around?

Well its s**t. I've just spent $4000 exactly getting rust taken out of my EL Fairmont Ghia.
Because it has the Tickford bodykit on it and because it doesnt seal against the body perfect a bucket load...no make that 4 bucket loads of red gravel sand got stuck in there and absorbed as much moisture as it could and held it against the car for me. Also the gravel pounded away at the bottom of the car for 280,000ks taking the rust proofing off.

Its all %100 fixed now and she'll never rust again. :D
The car has been gone a full 4 weeks from me getting Sean at Impact Panel and Paint to take care of the cancer.

Be wary of country cars they sometimes are not what they seem.

my EA has some rust right in the bottome corner at the front of the rear wheel arch. Dont know if anything should be done. Its probably about 2cm square on each side but not sure what should be done. I was thinking of spraying some clear on it for now but no sure really.

The rust removal cost $2200 but I went hardcore underneath the car got a 4wd place to spray a 2 pac corrosion barrier underneath the whole car and that cost $1800. The barrier is impenetrable to rocks, stones and moisture.

Also the $2200 also includes rust proofing for the entire car except underneath.

Yeah thats what he charged me for rust proofing. Its not wank though. My mate has got a car that is rust proofed and its 15 years old and not a spec on it.

The earlier the better Frank. Dont let it start and then get removed. Prevention is better than cure by about $3500 LOL

I dont mean to worry you but the bodykit especially the side skirts help cause the rust and they also hide it from view. I hope you you dont have any probs but more than likely you do. :(
