i have read on here a bit about the front ends from EF/L's fitting EA/B's and today i saw my first one on the road, and it looked alright, im definatly consiidering it, but i was lust wondering it the rear end compatable aswell? if so i am definaty keen on tha cahnge, it would be alot cheaper than buying a new car.

what do you mean by rear end? i would imagine you would have to change qtr panels which isnt something you want to do in your driveway on a saturday afternoon. if you just mean tail lights and bootlid, you mihgt get them in with a gentle massage of the qtr panels, never really thought of it
the idea of the front end sounds interesting enough though

the front is fairly easy,
guards, rad support, bonnet and front bar are the key parrts.
rear end isnvolves plenty of welding because the whole rear 1/4 is attached to the roof.
personally i like the EF/EL front end with the EA->ED rear.

Rear definately wont fit easily, boot wont fit the shape at all, and the lights are the wrong shape by far. but what id like to do is get an ef thats been rear ended from the auctions, and do the whole bit. Engine, dash, interior, front end. Would be a nice little project to do one day!

and im sure one day a few p****d blokes round the fire looked at the old, neglected electricians van, the trusty hiace, and said, lets put a massive merlin jet engine in the back!

few years later those blokes probably did and come up with the dohnut king jet van!

...pointless information, still bored...

I'm bored with your comments Mrs. Nasty. I have seen a BA front on an XD - XH ute (not sure which model) and it looked pretty good. My opinion is that a BA/BF front on a sexy EF body would look the ducks guts. Wether it's practicle or cost effective is a different matter. All I'm saying is it would look good. So how does go f**k yourself sound? Oh I'm sorry, that would probably bore your missus / boyfriend to tears.........
