He's never really come back to that - I doubt they'd be much more expensive, I mean it's not that hard to make some holes...
But I guess on the otherside since he hasn't designed or made anything yet I nothings really firm or final...

SORRY COULDN'T FIND THIS THREAD MADE A NEW ONE THEN REALISED I HAD A LINK TO IT IN MY SIGNATURE :(

Hi Guys,

It has been a long time since I got on the band wagon about this bonnet, purely because wayne at fibresports had burst my bubble with his lack of enthusiasm. He was very keen until we got the numbers.

Wayne said he will look at in the new year but I am unsure of how keen he is to do it, as suggest in the thread I have spoken to Phat Customs in VIC, Ron Kilk the owner of Phat Customs is very keen to make the bonnet. He is going over seas next week and gets back at the end of January, he has said that if he has all the deposits he will start as soon as he gets back. He is very keen to do it to show people the quality of his work as he has been around a very long time and seeing the quality of his kits on my mates BA falcon I am more than happy for him to make the bonnet for us.

The down side, its a little more expensive. He wants $170 for a deposit then a further 560 for the bonnet. bringing the total to $730, $70 more than fibresports, this doesn't concern me to much but what is everyone elses feelings? is everyone keen to get Ron Kilk to do it or does everyone want to wait around in the hope Wayne at fibresports will do it?

Please let me know.

Cheers
CHOCA

That price is still good. I was quoted over 1500 to have one made by a local guy here in Sydney. He supplies race bits for torries and the like to American Auto's

I have moved this project else where, Fibresporst will no longer be completing the bonnent for us, the new gentleman is well known and I am sure everyone will be happy to here who it is once I can announce it.

I'm cheering, so hold tight guys I only spoke to him a fortnight ago and he's already onto it, deffinantly won't be a 18 month job as previously.

Any chance of carbon fibre? From what I've been told it's essentially the same process as making a fibreglass one.
