hi, im going to sell my ea in a month or so and i am going to purchase an EF. The only thing is..there are so many makes to choose from? Ghia, fairmont, falcon, GLI - just not sure which one to focus on? i know the fairmont is the same as the falcon just has added extra's but what about the ghia and gli?

Also, i love the look of some of the ef's on here. everyone has done an awesome job. but wanted to know what are some of the different styles of body kits you can get for an ef-el?

i searched this, but nothing came up directing at my question.

xr6-a sports 6 cyl with front power windows and sports interior
xr8- a sports 8cyl with the same as the xr6
fairmont-a luxury swb with all power windows acc and veloure interior
fairmont ghia- same luxurys as the standard fairmont but leather interior premo sound and xr sports motors

ef/el's are worth nothing these days. steer clear of the poverty pack gli, its just not worth the bother.

id aim for a fairmont/ghia. prices on these are cheap as, and you get alot of kit on them compared to the xr models which tend to hold values a little better than the rest of the range.

Tickford kits are the main one that everyone has. Other people sometimes make their own front bars out of bottem half of BA or even AU bars., side skirts can be made to fit from a BA xr6 if ur handy with a bit of fibre glass.

Have a look at my website. I can do XR-style kits or the GTO, which is my own design. Special prices to members, too.
cheers, Bob

Fairmonts are kewl and all. But to do the front XR conversion (twin lights) will cost you an arm and a leg.
XR front end conversion suits Futuras and GLi.
Nothing really wrong with the GLi. Just more fun to do up.
Fairmonts are heavier also. Not by much though..
