Hi,
I suppose this topic may have been covered in previous posts somewhere, but has anyone fitted either a higher wattage lamp or better brand than what Ford fit as standard? I think the lights are fairly ordinary at best, maybe due as someone has suggested, that the ability to spread the light is inhibited by the shroud in this model? The driving lights are ,I think H3 lamps , High and Low? and the Headlights H1, not sure about the wattages?
What are HID's? Thanks
Regards,
Gary.

Yeah!....dunno?, maybe mine aren't setup correctly, but I'm not impressed.......100w quartz halogen should throw it out there, I'd have thought?
So these HID's seem to be the go.....$300-$350 to convert from Q/H to HID
for my jigger?...must admit though they do look impressive before they turn blue, I mean .....:-)
Regards,
Gary.

This interests me as my standard xr headlights suck.
How much and what sort of beam do they produce. Is it ultra bright, or what?

beam is no different to normal, probably a bit better range and you can see a LOT more

bulbs are ~$10 a pop

the 'blue" bulbs SUCK
