hey all.. i currently have an EA which im fitting an XR6 bodykit to it, now the issue i have is that i have a 4" exhaust tip and the bottom part of the kit wont fit under the exhaust tip, i need some ideas on what to do. i dont have much money but i love that exhaust tip so i dont really want to cut it up in anyway.

the only possible thing i can think of is to cut the exhaust back a bit and fit a new tip like a 2.5-3 inch tip.

i thorght maybe taking the tip back inside the bumper and dumping it... but then id have a funny looking hole in the back with nothing in it

and this is the kit i wanna fit, i dont currently have a rear shot of it

the current tip in 4 inches which is big enough to fit ur fist in, and gives a nice little echo to the note

or a 4 inch speaker :P

is it a genuine kit or aftermarket fibreglass?
see if you can get the kit cut so your tip will fit.

ok, conclution is, the tip will be coming off in about 30 minutes, i want to fit the kit so im going to anglegrind off the tip then next week ill go to supercheap and buy a dress up tip in the biggest size that will fit in without melting the plastic bumper and install it on there, that way its all polised and shiney and i also get my kit fitted :D

i currently have the kit sitting on the ground beside the car ready for me to fit it once im finished uploading a video of the car as it is and the exhaust note... ill post it here when its done (also keep in mind the sound on the camera is stuffed but it very close to the sound)

ok i have the kit fitted, i angle grinded the tip off. i had to remove the bumper and undo the exhaust mounts to gain access to the whole tip, the kit on the rear bar was a tight fit but with some encouragement i made it fit... it still needs to be painted, i put it on first so that i could have all the holes i needed drilled ect so when its painted there isnt any marks from where i drilled. i think it looks good but definately needs a new tip on the back..

thanks for all the idea and comments guys

I mite be a bit late but i think you shooda cut the glass not the tip. I got an oval tip 4 1/2in wide 3 1/2 in high and my first choice would be 2 cut the glass. End result looks great tho. nice job!
