ok this is probably the most embarrassing and lamest question anyone has ever asked on this forum. i wasn't even sure where to post. there doesn't seem to be "questions from clueless idiots" section.

anyway, i bought new struts for my bonnet (eb falcon) coz the old ones are leaking and don't hold the bonnet up anymore. they came in the extended position. which was fine until i realised i can't slide them back in. they're stuck in 'hard on' mode. what's the trick here? i'm sure i'm missing something blatantly obvious here. some help fpr the mentally handicapped man here would be appreciated. the solution is probably so obvious i will be forced to crawl under a rock to hide my shame.

cheers.

Put em on the top pivot point first then jam them down onto the flat panel near where they are supposed to clip on the bottom. Then close bonnet. :P

BTW there are no stupid questions just stupid people that own commodores

thanks again.
