hey guys not quite sure where to post this, but my whole right hand side of indicators has stoped working.

Whilst out driving today i noticed smoke coming from the hazzard button when the stalk was down to turn on the right hand side. i looked at the dash and there was no light flashing where it should have been. im guessing the hazzard button has shat itself but would it cause this?

Any insight into this would be helpfull.

Cheers guys.

what happens if you hit the hazards? Do they work then?

You probably need a new combination switch

I had a similar problem with a crappy old 1989 Magna I once borrowed......I took the steering wheel off and took a look at the combination switch and the plug and wires had actually melted together. I fitted a new combination switch and all was good after that.

yea, hit the hazzards and nothing works, i got a comb switch on order from ford for $108 inc. gst. I took the wheel off and did a bit of testing and found the hazzard switch when the right indicator was on got quite hot quite quickly, i did electronics in school and know where ther is heat *dramatic music* there is a fair amount of resistance so in closing i have a fair suspition its that, There were no wires melted though thank god.
