Nah mate, that would be my old ute, sold that last year not long after i bought this XR8, and yeah the guy who bought it lives in Morley. I have been thinkin bout selling my wheels too.....

you could go phantom mica and get the red stripes sprayed in like a candy apple red or somethin like that

nice ute mate. love the colour. Have an el in galaxy myself.
one suggestion would be keeping the blue, but with a bonnet bulge with gold decals, and change the red strip for gold. Match it with some simmons FR19s with gold centers. just a thought.

Thanks mate, very nice colour indeed. As far as things are going at the moment i will be going to stay the same colour, still unsure wether to keep red stripes or not, although i do really want to keep it looking original. Not too keen on the gold stripes but a set of Simmons FR19's with gold centres would be awesome but unfortunately cant stretch the budget that far  .
I also wanted the BA bonnet bulge, but not too keen on getting one grafted into the original bonnet, would definately do it if i can get a full fiberglass bonnet with it.

Hey mate i reckon ditch the red stripe. It'll look so much more modern, i know its an XR thing but it looks so much cleaner without it. Galaxy is a nice colour, you may as well keep it the same.

Good point there, would love to see what it would look like without the stripe, Can you or do you know anyone that can photoshop the red stripe out of my pics?

Cheers for that XPfalcon170, what an impact that is gonna make on my decision. So much better to be able to see what it'll look like.

Yeah thats what i was thinkin, try and keep it as original looking as i can with all badges back in original spots etc.

ditch the stripe, it looks so much cleaner and modern. The red is a little dated and tacky nowadays. Also get the tonneau hooks removed and have the holes lead filled when you get it resprayed. It'll look a million bucks!

Yeah i wanna keep it lookin the way it did straight off the showroom floor as far as the body goes. Of course it doesnt look modern, its a 1999 model, its a bit like sayin to someone with a GT-HO to take off their stripes to make it look more modern, alot of us like to keep the factory/original look. As previously stated all tarp hook holes are being deleted, and yeah i hope it will look a million bucks.
