I wanna paint my dull grey- going white, bumpers. To body colour. Should i even try to do this meself? (i think the rest of this question will answer my own question- NO)

Do i sand it before i primer it? Do i primer if with plastic primer or something, then sand then normal primer, then paint then gloss?

That is my imagination of how it should go, of course i only spray painted for the first time last weekend.
Ha!

even professional painters hatedoing bumpers.... the amount of crap that leaches into the plastic makes getting a good finish near to impossible.... best bet would be to find a wrecker with a white EA-ED

- prepsol (wax and grease remover) the surface first
- a light sand will not hurt
- plastic primer, thin coats at a time
- light sand wet 'n'dry 1200 grade
- prepsol let dry
- spray on the paint, thin coates don't rush
- spray with clear, thin coates don't rush
- leave a few days or so to cure/set properly
- get some cut'n'polish and shine em up

all done

Look under the bonnet there is a paint code on the compliance plate what does it say, and then post a pic of the car up as well, so we can see if it is a match for you.
