Just fitted new Ebay Headlight's. I finaly have a low beam.

good job! looks nic n clear now.. :wink: so what was the cause of the lack of low beam? did you take the bumper off to attach the lights? i dont have to on an ef fairmont to be able to replace my lights.. :wink:

They are only small driving lights though ... not bad ... hopefully the eBay headlights don't go yellow too quickly.

Yes it has a good hi beam.... lol
+50 low beam +30 high beam 130w spots 1 pencil 1 spread beam.
You do need to drop the bar on a base EF.

How much did ya pay for the lights? With the days getting shorter I'm starting to use my lights on the way to & from work & there crap!

you can get away without loosening the bar, they do come out.

did you get the SSS boxed lights or the others?

im pretty sure if you put headlight protecters on the lights it stops em going yellow too

I noticed they are selling quite a few new headlights, there are ones of ef falcons, then just fairmonts and then for ghias, can someone tell me what the differences is!!!

*gli' .. futura's.. are the same headlight..
*fairmont/ghia.. fairlane are longer/pointier than the above one's..
*XR6/XR8 have the quad head lights..

There are several places in melbourne that can sell the TYC ADR approved ones for around 55-60ea.

Fairmont ones are larger outside, and have an incorperated hi beam in the driving light, as well as a separate hi beam.
these usually sell for about 140ea
