Hey lads,

Contemplating painting my current (worthless) rims to just make it a little different. Just wondering how to go about it (either by myself or who I need to pay to do it). Was thinking chrome actually (noooooo personal opinions necessary), lol.

Anyway, little help?

Maybe even somone could chrome the stock factory wheels on my car in this picture?

yoy can get them sand-blasted and then powder coated - but that wont give you a chrome finish - just a colour of your choice..
its a pretty cheap option - sand blasting is about $5 per rim and then your looking at anywhere from $20-$50 per rim for powder coating (depending where you go)
check out my galery - my rims have been powder coated white.

hope this helps ya bro.

Adz...

I would of thought that the cost of having it done properly (probably over $200.00) would be better of put towrds getting nice ones - often 16" ones selling second hand for $400-$500 and you can prolly get a carton or something for those old ones.
Aside from that if your set on doing it, just get some spray paint no point blowing money on thsoe wheels they're definately not worth it (hope I'm not implying too much that they are ugly)!

I don't mind those stock rims. They look pretty alright..plus you can grate cheese on them if you get hungry.

Thanks for replies lads. Just trying to decide on a "Master Plan" for my car. Just wanted to spruce up the wheels (and yes lower, super lows). Keep the stockos till I'm out of TAFE and have cash to blow on some nice rims.

Just say I did spray paint chrome, would they look full dodge? And fade not long after application?

many cheap aftermarket wheels use chrome paint, so if you can find out what they use??? I thought about painting my rims on my daily driver chrome or just getting them polished which would be cheaper if you did it your self.

Yeah I'm just looking for cheap mods to improve the look of my car. I'm curious to think what my stock rims chromed, with superlows, would look like, and maybe a darkest legal tint too.

Yeah I think it looks good too.

My ultimate plan is to super low the car, paint it black, gold plate chrome exterior parts, and gold alloys. 8)

Paint the tyre? Eh? o_O I don't mean "gold" my current wheels, I mean find some nice 18inch gold alloys for it one day.
