Hey guys

stupid pointless question here, took off the headlight cover and looked down at the radiator and found theres actually a plastic divider stopping air coming up to the snorkel and engine bay...

I was wondering if i took that divider out would it stop forcing all that air that comes from under the front bar into the radiator and overheat? as the air would also flow up to the snorkel and bay?

anyone tried this?

Don't remove it, it directs air into the radiator. When removed air direction is diturbed and cooling system will suffer, OK in winter, Bad news in Summer.

i keep hearing this "it will make ya car over heat" i find that strange as my ef mont was involved in an acco( dad crashed it) i had it repaired with an after market kit as you will find in various topics. my car does not have that because

a) it was wrecked in the crash and i didnt buy another
b) it would not possibly fit with my bar

now back to the point my car has never had an overheating fault even at idle for over an hour ( drained battery at a sound off) it has never moved above A on normal , i also have a big auto cooler in front

my point been is if your cooling system is in good condition and thermos ect work correctly there would never be an overheating issuse

i dont have that air forcer'er.. lol.. but then again.. my car does run hot sometimess too... i dont have the lower windage tray either...

your snorkel should pick up the air entering around the inner gaps around the left hand side headlight and from around the edges of the grille...

ever think they could be overheating because the cooling systems in those cars arent all that great?

i had a quick stab at mine last night and it works heaps better now. looked at the plastic too but didnt bother with it

thought that the radiator gets most flow from the bottom anyway

cooling sys i mean. i thought about removing it, but now ive cleaned down the front of the radiator its ok.

the e series is notorious for collecting grass seed and such between the condenser and radiator
