How have others stopped water from getting into their sequential scoop intakes??
I'm a bit worried about water getting through the filter and into the motor.

have ya tried making like an aluminium cover to go around the filter? that may stop the water going into the filter, just an idea

I'm a bit worried about water getting through the filter and into the motor. Id have a small lip around the rear side of the sequential scoop, with about a 6mm hole at the back, so that water that comes in while driving while gravitate to the rear of the scoop, and run out the hose under the bonnet somewhere. As for when not driving, id have the scoop designed in a way so that there was no way for water to get in from directly above. If you already have the scoops but, i guess this doesnt help ya!

I'm using a pannel filter, the xh setup is the same as the eb, where air enters the top of the box and leaves through the bottom into the motor. SVO XR6 igot the scoop off another member who's XR was written off, good deal only $60.00, i have the details of the bloke who makes them, will e-mail them to you!

You can get replica XR style bonnet vents from supercheap auto or maybe auto one, something like 14 dollars each. Might be worth a look. For that price you could even hack them up and get some body filler, and make them how ya want

I wanted a set of those sequential scoops. Would be very cool.
www.ccs.com.au = some business site, no mention of sequetial bonnet scoops for an EF XR, just a lot of marketing mumbo jumbo.

Yeah sorry bout that, the real site for bonnet vents is http://www.canberracarstyling.com.au/index.php They do not sell the sequential scoops, just EF/EL xr scoops As for the sequential scoops and boxes radek911@hotmail.com Don't know why you wouldn't be able to get in contact with him!
