Bonnets faded as the clear coat is gone. Not a problem to repaint myself as the Mrs had a minor bingle and that bumper is a replacement painted by me. BUT, also some minor hail damage from the Perth 03_2010 storm too :(
But it's not going to last much longer even with only 181k km on th clock, bad sill rust too as it was bought from a coastal town about 8 years ago . So not worth me doing any body work, better to find a donor with stuffed mechanicals but good body cheap and put my gear into it.

Found a very straight EL but with stuffed g/b and motor on gumtree for $600, debating whether to buy that and do a driveline/susp/wheel change over.
But I don't even have a proper driveway to work on (pot holed bitumen as you can see), let alone a garage, and it won't stop raining...

I love the low flat boot and lines of the E series. I love the way it looks after some decent wheels, tint, slight lowering and nothing else needed. I love the way it says 4 door sedan here! Besides german manufacturers, there isn't a market for RWD 4 door sedans. Most of the world is all hatchbacks, FWD, no I6, all SUVs or CUVs, part time 4wd which is mainly FWD etc.
I like low sleek looks with a I6, RWD, and doing it on a budget - so BMW is a no go. :D

Yeah there's one local to me, $600, good body AND paint, just stuffed gearbox and motor. Would be perfect for me.
But no garage, carport, and if you look at the photo, I don't even have much of a driveway, torn up bitumen, otherwise I'd be all over it.

Late edit:
Just sold it for $1200 easy as.
No E series for me anymore :(

Still got the BA ute for work, and I'm thinking of buying a AUIII fairmont ghia as a run about so I'll still lurk ford mods.
