Hey guys,
My EA had the bonnet respraye with the previous owner in 91. Now the bonnet has sorta changes colour compared to the rest of the body. And above the window washer spray things the paint has started to crack. Today i polish the car and some burgandy paint was on the rag after. CAn anyone tell me what i should do. Cheers |

As the paint doesn't match across the bonnet they must have only paint part of the bonnet. If you getting burgandy paint on the rag then all the clear coat has either gone on wasn't there when the bonnet was touched up. Metallic painted panels should always be completely repainted.
Sounds like the previous owner did a real dodgy paint repair on the bonnet.

yeah i reckon in some spots on the bonnet the clear has worn off. thats why i get some paint on the rag. i know a place that will respray for 600. That a good price, cos i am new to this paint crap.
Cand also while on the topic how much do you reckon a respray for the whole car would be, also i would like the dints and s**t taken out also. |
