Theres a little yellow toyota echo in my area that has spinners, its funny to watch them spin when she stops at lights, like its doing some kind of cool burnout minus the waste of rubber.
Overall though, dont get em they would suit a falcon even less then they suit an echo, and they really DONT suit the echo...

Also, Chrome is overated, try chrome shadow instead :D

heheh i have seen that car too around silvania :) hehe

Yup, from what i hear the hubcaps, are crap as sometimes they lock up and have a very unusaul spinning motion (start stop etc.etc.). But from what i hear from another friend is that if you want to get them its best to get the mags...

But IMO from the two cars ive seen them on (Holden and an old torago) they dont look good, actually they look s**t.

If you put them on i will personally blow your car up for you! They look s**t!!!
The standard hubcaps look way better, actually even the stock rims would look better!

Personally I think those spinning ones are fine if you are lebanese and drive an excel, otherwise don't bother.

Does anyone manufacture hubcaps that look like popular mags? If not, why not? I'm sure plenty of people would spend $30 on BA XR Hubcaps for instance, even if they were only in sizes for 15 or 16 steelies, rather than spending a grand or more on wheels (obviously cheaper 2nd hand).

Maybe not great - but a step up from spinning hubs....

i saw a set of the "real" spinners on a merc running round newcastle, they looked friggin stupid, the car was zooming yet the outside was stationary IMO they look stupid, on a hummer that i havent seen in the flesh i reckpon may suit.
As for the hubcap ones saw a set of them in supercrap auto, they had a fricken blue backing, but the spin part was chrome. extremely dodgy.

Most mags are too open to make into hubcaps, so they use patterns that use a lot of plastic and so hide the steelies behind them. You may be able to find some that look similar and have a matt black backing plate, but youll have to look good and hard.

There was a commodore wagon, painted harlequin (blue/red/gold flip paint or oil slick as it's commonly known) and it had either 17in or 18in spinners on it, i looked over and thought it was doin a 4wd burnout, spun me out.
When they did stop, they looked cheap, why don't they make something other than chrome.

I've seen them whizzing around on a 5-series BMW which was stopped at an intersection... I was >< close to sticking my head out the window as I drove past and yell out "What the f**k are you doing to that car!"

Sad case of euro rice.

[imho]
Don't put them on your car, they just look LAME and all the girls will laugh at you as they walk past. It will be nothing like those late night infomercials that advertise them lol
[/imho]

If you can't afford real mags then just leave the standard wheel trims on until you can afford mags so noone gives you s**t for it. (which will happen as soon as you get a job with someone who drives a commonwhore)

Rice RICE Rice, only seen them working on a Jag and BMW and that made them look cheap, plus the fact they make you look at the car and wonder what f**k is going to get out of it, I expect some pimp C**k covered in gold jewellery to jump out.
