Well i was invlved in an accident at christmas time last year. The front end still hasnt been painted on the car :S.

A couple of nights ago some dumb C*** thought it was be a funny idea to push about 10 linked trollys into someones car, they bouced off and hit mine.

Now my bonnet, front bumper, both guards, all 4 doors rear 1/4 and rear bumper need painting. The only thing that doesnt need paint is the roof and other rear 1/4 and boot lid.

So i thought. Its only going to use about 1L-1.5L more paint to do that so why not respray.

Been looking at colours and im considering the BA Lime Green.

I will be making the body perfect. I will fix the rear wheel arch and make that look original again. I am looking at some doors at the moment to replace the damaged ones and i need to bolt a guard up.

What are peoples thoughts.??? Ill get some pics up soon.

I also thought that ill get the last 2 fairmont door moulds i need and bog up the strips in the front and rear bars. But then i thought i could go back to a EF front end not EL and make a BA XT kit for the EF. Something that isnt over the top but still looks nice. But thats yet to be decided.

Any tips or help people can give towards the respray?

Ben

I've always wanted to do that, the lime green that is. Go for it!!
Don't worry about making the body too perfect 'cos you obviously know how many dumb pricks there are around.

if you don't paint the inside the doors bonnet etcetc for example lime green car with red inner doors.........

just do some nice and basic pin striping down the side of the car and it will look likeyou meant it..

dunno about the colour choice, lime green is a 'fad' colour at the moment... As for the respray, you'd be silly not to do the whole car -doors and inside boot, bonnet... as Mitch_ said.. "scream CHEAP C***! " Couldn't have said it better than that!

also, seems a lil wierd that all 4 doors, front and rear are hammered. Must have been a ugly accident and 'superman' style trolly display (bounced off left, swung around, bounced off right)
