Not sure if this is the right area for this... Ive finished all my mods now (stereo, interior, wheels, suspension), and my engine has been built, and is ready to go in. Ive been talking to a local panel shop about getting my engine bay smoothed, y'know, flat firewall, smoothed inner guards etc... but when the dude was looking over the car, he has found a fair bit of rust, and some really dodgy repairs. So, i am on the lookout for a new NC shell. My question is... Do i do my paint, then have the car wired (i will be using an aftermarket ecu and a painless wiring kit...original wiring loom will be gone), or how should i tackle this? I was thinking wire the car, then do panelwork, then paint car, then install engine and suspension?

I'd wire the car first before you complete the panel work.
Makes it easier to cover/hide the wiring once the wiring's already in.
Because if there are a few wires that standout like dogs balls then you can cover them in your panel prep work. Before you spray, etc.

thats what i was thinking too, plus there isnt the risk of scratching the paint when running wiring... but ive got a few sheetmetal mods up my sleeve as well...anyone else got suggestions?
