Not an easy fit. Major modifications required. XH bonnet and guards are different from EF/EL Guards & Bonnets. Front bar, Headlights and indicators are the same.

Can you weld sheetmetal? It's the only way to fit EF/EL panels to an XH.....

yeah, i've been a metal worker for a while, and my dad is a boiler maker... so yes...

what about the bonnet..? is it too wide or too long?

my intentions are this, tostrip the front end of my ef fairmont, make up whatever is needed to make it fit, a ba xr8 bump on the bonnet, then make up a front bumper using a hybrid of the fairmont and a ba GT bumper...
ive got the bumper partly made.. i.e the bottom end, but i am having to wait until the rest is done to know any problems on fitting, i got the idea from a fairmont ive seen on here shave the doors, possibly suicide doors...(a little bogan), 19in pre au dark agents, shave fuel cap and more it to the inside of the tray, blocks and super lows (which i have), then spray the car metalic blue with white detailing on the bumper and around the car, white because of the ease of changing the colour... then when im happy a clear coat.

then ill start on a motor, possibly a nl fairlane stroker... or a charged el xr8 or au charged xr8 if it will fit....

but that is further down the track.

The XH front panels are a mix of EF/EL front half and XF rear half, to match up to the XF cabin and doors. So the E-series stuff is completely different, and will not even be close. You will need to cut the front part off an XH bonnet (sacrilege, if it's a good one) and weld on the EL or Fairlane or whatever fron piece. The bumper and headlights are EF, so EL or fairy stuff will fit relatively easy, but the bonnet and gaurds will be a big job. If you havent welded a bonnet or roof before, get advice (Try SWC) or practice on some old junk first.
Good luck. 8-)

thanks mate... i have shaved doors, put the xr8 bulge on a gli, its not hard, just teadious
it looks so simalar i would have got into it and s**t bricks when everything was done up..
whats the go with a ba xr8 motor, ive found a boss 290 for pretty cheap, its manual.. would it fit if i rebuilt the engine bay, as if i have to cut and weld so much i might as well do the lot...
