I got this XR8 Wing (boot spoiler) second hand, had it repaired and resprayed, then bolted it on myself and this is were i come to the drama. Can the wires running out the base of the wing just be soldered straight into the existing brake light cable in the boot (the one running up to the rear window brake light) or do you need to include a resistor in the line to reduce the voltage to the neon lights in the wing? Any help appreciated.

yeah all the resitance changes are included as part of the light assembly, so as its been said before all you gotta do is just connect the sucker

Anyone know if its possible to swap an ef/el xr6 style spoiler (the smaller one) for the el xr8 one without leaving markes or holes or anything on the boot lid?
Does it all line up, anyone know?

when you put the spoiler on and wire it up, remove the globe out of the light in the centre of the window

On my fbt the wing and the high stop mount light work, went to go for roadowrthy and they said if its there, its gotta work, simple!
Mine isnt as simple as removing a globe tho like the SWB ones, if i got picked up on it by a cop id just cut the wire to the sporiler, its easy to get to and only take me 1sec.
