Hello All,

Just wondering if someone with a 2009 Ford Falcon FG XT could check something for me - Does your steering wheel lock when the car is in park and the keys are not in the ignition and the steering wheel is moved?

MINE DOESN'T :|

Just wondering if Ford included this feature in the XT's and my one is just broken, or they cheaped out on the FG XT's.

Thanks,
Dean

That sounds really weird... Although I don't have an FG I don't think that they'd go backwards and not include something like that, it's a pretty basic feature.

Does it still happen when you lock and unlock the car?

Mine does mate, so I'm guessing yours is faulty. Mind you, have to turn to full lock for it to engage (tested it like 2 hours ago when putting rims on)

I'll have to try the full lock trick... I couldn't get mine to engage. It's defs not as touchy as my au, it only took a few degrees to lock up.

Hey guys, thanks for the responses.

TheKrazeD, what do you mean turn to full lock for it to engage? Completely turn the steering wheel, and then it will lock?
I'm pretty sure I tried that when I first got the car, but no luck. I shall try again soon

FordAUte, yeah that's what I was thinking. My dad's craptiva does it with the slightest turn

Yeah mate, turn all the way to the left or right to engage the steering lock.
